ThePeaceBomb was created subconsciously on a newspaper by the artist, while talking on the phone. After having hung up the artist was amazed by the simplicity and the power of this gift from her intuition. The artist instantly realized the potentiality of direct communication in the little image, and decided to try it out by posting it on the various social media platforms.
The response was immense. A recipient from Chile called it the new sign of peace. Another commented from Pakistan: “At long last a new sign instead of all these words!”
As it from the very beginning was crucial to the artist that the way of spreading the new sign in the early stages should be people to people and not through various institutions nor celebrities, the artist now began taking pictures of strangers met in the streets holding ThePeaceBomb, and then again shared the results on the predominant social media.
Again the response was overwhelming, and people started requesting her to PeaceBomb certain things. For instance a poet during the unrest in Venezuela asking her to apply their national flag with ThePeaceBomb.
Consequently the artist began appointing ThePeaceBomb Ambassadors all over the world asking them to partake in the mission by taking pictures from their own local environment. The feedback emphasized the communicative potentiality of the sign. People accepted the invitation as a welcome challenge to their imagination, and the artist received playful photos from for instance Tunisia, USA, Israel, Spain, New Zealand and the Channel Islands.
